Bookcase | Prototype

Yasuhiko Itoh, 1959

Designed by Japanese designer Yasuhiko Itoh, this curved walnut bookcase was a prototype that was never produced on an industrial scale. In 1959 it was presented with a small Molteni armchair and a Molteni trolley at Cantù’s third “Mostra Selettiva – Concorso Internazionale del Mobile”, where it came third. The jury was composed of Luigi Caccia Dominioni, Ake H. Huldt, Eduard Ludwig and Giovanni Romano.
